Guest Background
Alexandra Whiteley began her career at the Welsh Government in NHS Communications before transitioning to Estyn, the Education and Training Inspectorate for Wales. At Estyn, she advanced to Head of Events, where she led impactful staff conferences, Annual Report launches, and residential training courses.
In 2013, Alexandra joined HMRC as Head of Events, managing 80 events annually, including stakeholder conferences, leadership forums, and staff awards ceremonies. Her work significantly enhanced HMRC's internal and external communications.
In 2016, Alexandra moved to the Cabinet Office, where she led the annual government staff learning conference, engaging 18,000-35,000 civil servants each year. She also delivered the first Government’s Inaugural Islands Forum, attended by four Ministers and 35 council chief executives, setting a new standard for government events.
Alexandra's strategic vision and attention to detail have driven successful events across the UK government.
